Ellie Jane Goulding, born December 30, 1986 in Hereford England. Tracey Goulding Summers was a store clerk, and Arthur Goulding, the father of Ellie Jane Goulding worked as an undertaker. Goulding came into the world in 2000. There are two sisters, Isabel and Jordan. She has a brother named Alex. Alex is her brother who plays the bass and is part of a Hereford group. When she was young her mother advised her to be a musician. In the ninth grade, she started learning clarinet. She began writing songs of her own at the age of 14 but it wasn't until she was in college that she started to pursue songwriting. Goulding began to develop an interest in electronic music while studying. She was on MySpace Goulding had a relationship with Frankmusik who was the producer of records and the two of them came up with their own folktronica style. Jamie Lillywhite found her at that time. She started as her manager and then turned into A.&R. for a university talent contest.
